• Performed Research and academic work on the project entitled “Development and
Standardization of Boston Naming Test (BNT) on Bilinguals (Kannada – English &
Telugu – English)”, funded by AIISH Research Fund (ARF), AIISH, Mysore.

Itinerant Speech Therapist (IST), at Department of Clinical Services, All India Institute of
Speech and Hearing, Mysore, for 2 months from May to June, 2007.

Participated as a Speech and Swallowing Therapist from Indian context in the project on
“Validation of the ICF Core Sets for Head-Neck-Cancer (HNC) from the Perspective of
Speech and Swallowing Therapists” carried out by Dept. of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology,
Head and Neck Surgery at Ludwig-Maximilian-University, in Munich, Germany and the
ICF Research Branch of the WHO located at the Dept. of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation at Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, Germany.

TRAINING EXPERIENCE
As part of my B. Sc (Speech and Hearing) and M. Sc (Speech – Language Pathology), I
underwent training in theoretical and clinical aspects (diagnostics and therapeutics) of the
patients with communication disorders such as,

• Child and Adult language disorders (Delayed Speech and Language, Inadequate Speech
and Language, Specific language impairment, Mental Retardation, Hearing Loss, Autism,
Learning Disability, Attention deficit hyperactive disorder, Aphasia, TBI, RHD,
Dementia),

• Motor speech disorders in children and adults (Cerebral Palsy, Apraxia, Dysarthria,
Apraxia),

• Fluency Disorders (Stuttering, Cluttering)

• Voice disorders,

• Articulation disorders,

As part of my undergraduate program, I did my internship in Bangalore, Chennai, and


Mandya for the period of 5 months and 5 months in Department of Clinical services and
Department of Audiology at All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE

I have good knowledge in MS Office (Microsoft word, Excel, Power Point presentation),
SPSS, and Internet.

Speech – Language softwares:

• Praat V. 5.1.37. – Used for Spectrographic analysis of speech samples.

• DMDX, Check vocal. – used to measure Reaction time in different speech and
language tasks.

• Language analysis softwares – Softwares like CLAN, SALT which are used to
analyze the language samples in terms of Syntax, semantics.

• Multi Dimensional Voice Program, Motor Speech Profile, Nasometry – Used for
speech and voice analysis of different clinical population.

• Dr. Speech – Software used for assessment and treatment of voice disorders.

• Vaghmi Software - Software used for assessment of voice disorders Spirometers.

• Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) – Used for statistical analysis
of data in research projects.
