PRINTOL® S-C

Self emulsifying printing oil

PRINTOL S-C is based on vegetable materials. The field of application extends to the complete range of
textile printing processes.

APPLICATION

Operation printing

Dissolving method irrespective of temperature, emulsifiable with water in any ratio

PRINTOL S-C can be added either to the stock thickening mixture or to the
ready to use printing paste. It can easily be added by use of a high speed
stirrer, without causing any instability. We recommend that pre trials are carried
out in order to determine the optimum application quantity and to test
compatibility with the dyestuffs.

Quantity per kg printing paste:

fast dyestuff printing: 5- 20 g/kg
pigment printing coloured: 10 - 15 g/kg
pigment printing white: 20 - 30 g/kg

Guide recipes Reactive printing

In spite of the use of pure alginate thickeners, fabrics frequently have a harsh
handle, particularly with multi functional dyestuffs (black5, turquoise, ...) on
viscose and cupro articles. When using 5 - 10 g/kg PRINTOL S-C a positive
influence on the handle of the printed fabric is achieved. In more critical cases
10 - 15 g/kg is recommended.

Vat discharge printing

The large quantity of chemicals which has to be applied in this process leads to
a very hard and brittle film during the drying process that follows the printing
procedure. In case of delicate and fine fabrics, such as viscose Javanese or
Cupro, it can even result in breakages at the points where the fabric is bent
(e.g. when the fabric is laid down into the carriage). In this case PRINTOL S-C
keeps the printing film elastic and counteracts to tendency to break. Application
quantity: approx. 20 g/kg.

 Unless there is a problem with the above breakages, a quantity of 5 - 10 g/kg
PRINTOL S-C is sufficient for colour pastes. In white discharge pastes,
quantities of 10 - 15 g/kg PRINTOL S-C have proven useful.

Disperse printing

Depending on the article and the fixing method applied, using 5 - 10 g/kg
PRINTOL S-C is aids the washing out of the thickening agent and consequently
improves the handle of the printed goods. Moreover, the use of PRINTOL S-C
slightly increases the colour yield.
