Radio networks work in open environments and therefore are inevitably affected by
interference. Interference detection and location are required in network deployment and
long-term network operation. The base station is a receiver system and supports scalable
bands. Therefore, it can be used for simple collection of uplink interference information,
reducing manual workloads (for example, carrying instruments) during network deployment
and interference detection. Uplink frequency scanning helps to check the electromagnetic
environment around the eNodeB and detect internal interference in the eNodeB. The RRU or
RFU calculates the received signal strength and reports the strength to the LMT after scanning
frequencies continuously. The received signal strength is used as reference for interference
location and analysis.
