Standard / Focus
5. Learning Objective(s) : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to demonstrate
the making of egg sandwiches.
6. Learning Strategies : 1. Teacher asks pupils the types of sandwiches that they
know.
2. Pupils look at the ingredients needed to make the egg
sandwiches.
3. Teacher explains the preparation of the ingredients and
introduces some of the utensils to use.
4. Pupils study the process of making the sandwiches.
5. Teacher explains the step one by one.
6. Pupils prepare the ingredients and utensils to make the
sandwich on the next lesson. Pupils are allowed to bring
extra ingredients to make their sandwiches tasty.

1. Express their feelings
2. Convey greetings to express happiness, concern, support or
sorrow.
5. Learning Strategies : 1. Teacher asks about pupils feelings. Pupils respond to
teacher.
2. Pupils use their mini whiteboard and draw their feelings
and write a sentence to express their feelings.
Eg: I am happy today because I win the cross country race.
3. Pupils present their feelings and their smiley.
4. Teacher asks how they would express their feelings
towards their friends who are happy or sad. Teacher gives
some situations. Pupils respond to teacher with guidance.
5. Pupils get into their group. Pupils create four types of
situation and write appropriate sentences for each
situation.
6. Pupils present their answer.

(LOW ACHIEVER) level in non-linear texts
Learning Objective(s) : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to list 5 items that can
MAINSTREAM be given as a present and complete the paragraph with the most
suitable words.
Learning Objective(s) By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to trace and write the
(LOW ACHIEVER) correct greetings.
Learning Strategies : 1. Teacher asks what they had got as a present. Teacher writes the
MAIN STREAM list on the whiteboard as pupils tell their experiences. Teacher
adds more suggestions.
2. In group, pupils list down 5 items that they would like the most to
be given to their friend as a present. Pupils present it in bubble
map.
3. Pupils read the paragraph. Teacher explains the paragraph about
Friendship day.
4. Pupils give some spelling assessment using their mini whiteboard.
5. Pupils complete a paragraph using the words from the ‘Friendship
day’
6. Pupils present their answer.

Learning Objective(s) : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to rewrite the postcard
MAINSTREAM using correct punctuation (full stop and capital letter) and neat
handwriting.
Learning Objective(s) By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to trace and write the
(LOW ACHIEVER) correct greetings.
Learning Strategies : 1. Teacher puts up a sentence without any punctuation and get
MAIN STREAM pupils to identify the mistakes in the sentence.

2. Teacher tells pupils the usage of capital letter and full stop.
3. Pupils get into groups. Each group gets 5 sentences without
punctuation. Pupils use colour pencils to punctuate the
sentences. Pupils present their answer.
4. Pupils look at the postcard sample in the textbook and tell
teacher the mistakes in the postcard.
5. Pupils copy the postcard in their notebook and punctuate the
postcards.
6. Pupils write their address on the postcard.
