CEE 483 is a 4 credit hour course on soil mechanics and behavior taught in the spring semester. The course covers the composition, structure, and properties of soil, including water flow, stress, compressibility, consolidation, shear strength, compaction, and experimental measurements. It has one lecture section that meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-1:50pm in room B218 of the Newmark Civil Engineering Building. It also has two laboratory sections, one meeting Tuesday from 10-11:50am and another meeting Thursday from 1-2:50pm, both in room B218 and taught by professor Mesri.
