Installation Instructions:
1) Turn OFF your computer. This enables the computer to recognize that a new piece of hardware lras been installed.
2) Plug the RF receiver directly into the computer/laptop/notebook's USB port. Do not use force and do not use an adapter,
extension cable, switching device, docking station, USB lrub, etc as these items rnay affect the performance of the
product.
3) Open the battery compartment located on the back ol the keyboard. Place 4 AA batteries into the compartment and
replace the battery cover.
4) Turn the computer ON. Windows should autornatically find the trackball keyboard driver when detecting new hardware.
5) Sync the keyboard with the RF receiver.
. a. Press the ID button on the receiver. The LED should be flashing. This means that the receiver is sourcing.
b. Press the FN key (located bottom left of keyboard) + ID button (located at the top left of keyboard) while the
LED is still flashing to sync the keyboard with the receiver. The LED on the receiver should stop flashing. This
means that the keyboard and receiver have been successfully synced. You should be ready to go!
6) lfthe keyboard or trackball does not work, or you receive an error message; recheck the receiver connection, shut down
the computer and start again
Note:
. The LED on the RF receiver will flash when the keyboard is in use.
. When the Low Battery LED is lit, this means a change of batteries is required.
Trackball Operation:
located on the side under the trackball functions as a left mouse click.
Trouble Shooting
a) This trackball keyboard does not have a specific driver; it uses a generic driver frorn within the Operating System. If the
driver is not found you will need to install it from your System CD to locate the appropriate driver.
b) Try plugging the product *directly* into another port on the same computer/CPU/laptop/notebook.
*Do not plug the connector into a hub/docking station, adapter, extension cable or KVM switch.*
c) Try the product on another computer to see if you have the same issLre.
d) if another keyboard or mouse is connected there could be a driver conflict. Try ler:roving allotlrer keyboard and mouse
drivers that may be installed and restart the computer rvith the new trackball keyboard connected.
e) Try moving the keyboard closer to the receiver. (Note: The distance is approximately 45 t-eet. Depending on the
environment, room size, wall thickness and/or other present radio waves the signal range could be less then the 45 feet.)
0 Check the batteries to confirm they are facing the correct direction as indicated in the battery corrpartlnent.
g) Try installing new batteries as the current batteries may be dead.
