2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

2.1 General Description

Project Name: Peñasquito Pyrite Leach Process EPC LS


Location: Zacatecas, México
Description: Pyrite leaching is a new process facility to treat existing zinc flotation tailing
to recover gold and silver as doré
Scope: Engineering, Procurement and Construction
Type of Contract: Lump Sum

Monthly report for October 2018 addresses the period from October 1st to October 28th, 2018

The past October 15, 2018 was achieved of PLP Practical Completion; additionally Goldcorp issued
the Certificate of Transfer of Care, Custody and Control (TCCC) of the entire Project based on
Terms & Conditions of the EPC Agreement, Section 25.10.
As a result of the above, we continue strongly working to close the list of exceptions attach to the
TCCC certificate issued by Goldcorp.

3. SAFETY

Safety and security highlights were as follows:

 Reached 7,869,311 man-hours without LTI from Sep 14, 2016, to Oct 16th, 2018.
 Daily meetings with construction and Pre-commissioning continue to review the activities to
be carried out each day.
 After having obtained the TCCC for PLP (Transfer Care, Custody and Control certificate)
we have closed the safety Statistics with October 16, 2018 Date.

I. Environmental

The month of October was destined to carry out the removal and disposal of all the materials
and waste that were stored in the yards and general store. In this way, the cleaning and
rehabilitation of the patio of workshops and other storage yards is carried out.

4. QUALITY

Quality highlights were as follows:

 Workflow tracking for CWP and TOP'S acceptance and compilation of key documents to be
sent to Goldcorp the project data book
 Support Construction & Precommissioning team to address the issues and concerns that
arise in the daily follow-up meeting with client to final TCCC.

5. NARRATIVES

5.1 Major Milestones/ Finished Activities and In Progress Activities (Current Period)

I. Field Engineering

a) Engineering and Design


Engineering highlights were as follows:

 Got final dictum from Electrical Verification (UVIE) and Mechanical Verification Units.
 Expediting and closing out document review with vendor GE Prime 6 Electrical.
 Expediting last I/O Manuals from Vendor GE
 Working with PID´s As-built.

II. Procurement

Procurement and material management highlights were as follows:

 Continued coordination for Technical Advisory visits, such as ABB, FLS,


Thompson/Williams, Weir, Eaton, Inductotherm, Outotec/Festo, Norelco, STM, Sumitomo,
Falk, GIW, GE among others.

 Continued close-out of Purchase Orders


 Continued follow-up on Purchase Orders for Insurance Spare Parts (EPC LS Contract
exhibit O):

III. Subcontracts

 Close out has been initiated for contract PEN-071-18 Gratings and handrails supply and
installation with Industrial Batagonza, SA.
 Close out has been initiated for contract K-019 for the services of Labor Bussing with
Servicios Coordinados Piolín, SA
 Close out has been initiated for contract PEN-064-17 for the Supply and Installation of
Insulation in Pipelines and equipment with Company Fervaz Construcciones e
Instalaciones, SA.
 Close out has been initiated for contract PEN-044-17 for the Scaffolding Services on
Tanks with company Andamios In–Situ, SA
 Close out has been initiated for contract K-109C Rubber lining Spools adjustments wth
ANVI Mexicana, SA.
 Close out has been initiated for contract K-120B for Permanent Buildings (COMMOSA).
 Close out has been initiated for contract PEN-001 for Forms leasing (UNISPAN).
 Close out has been achieved of contract K-001 for Ready-Mix concrete supply with
Concretos Cemex, SA; since negotiations had been finalized, and all close-out documents
are now executed by Parties.

IV. Construction

a) Construction Management (CMgt)


 Conducted follow up meetings with construction team/GC operations group/GC project
management to close remaining exception list items and additional works.

b) Concrete Works – ICAF Self performance


 Previously completed works.

 Completed the fabrication and installation of additional structural steel platforms and stairs
in various locations within the plant.
 It continued executed additional works.

 Continued exception list activities in PLP.

e) Piping Works –ICAF Self performance


 Continued exception list activities in PLP.

f) Electrical Works –ICAF Self performance


 Continued exception list activities in PLP.

V. Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning

Pre-commissioning planning highlights were as follows:

 Vendor representatives on site:


o ABB, FLS, Thompson/Williams, Weir, Noelco, Eaton, Inductotherm, STM,
Sumitomo, Falk and GIW.
 Destaffing plan in effect.

Activities status and major changes for the period:

 Daily running of wet circuits.


 SO2 boilers transferred to Goldcorp.
 Installed additional guarding at operating pumps.
 Merrill Crowe and Refinery complete.
 PCS system transferred to permanent server.

VI. Safety

 With 7,869,311 million hours worked without lost time incidents.

a) Security

 Continued; coordinate machinery, equipment, tools and personal demobilization.

b) Environmental

 Verification of sanitation of the yards, where materials and equipment were stored.
 Disposal of all the recoverable residues those were stored in the different fronts.
 The cleaning of the general store is carried out, for delivery to the UMP.
 The hazardous waste generated in the work is sent to final disposal.
 The information referring to the environmental management system is concentrated, for
the preparation of the client delivery dossier.

 Continued monitoring disciplines through Quality Monthly Index.

 Solved comments by Goldcorp on construction packages
 Surveillance to remaining construction activities and additional work requested by
Goldcorp.
 Support to closing remaining punch items (PL & FL) with Construction and
Precommissining.

5.2 Major Milestone/Activities Scheduled for Upcoming Period

I. Field Engineering

a) Engineering Management (EMgt)

 Close Purchase Orders for Prime 6 Electrical.


 Continue expediting last I/O Manual from Vendor GE
 Finish releasing As-Built drawings for PID´s. Schematics and Instrumentations drawings.
 Prepare Cost Estimate to install three new cameras for Cleaner and Rougher Flotation
areas.

II. Procurement

Forecasted Work for Next Month:

 Continue expediting open punch-lists.


 Continue with Equipment Invoice and Milestone documents for Goldcorp’s monthly project
progress and payment cash flow.
 Coordinate Vendor Technical Advisors for Pre-commissioning activities.

III. Subcontracts

 Continue with the close out of Subcontracts whose work has been finalized.

 Support for the Project close-out.
