2-Device Characteristics
2-1-Device Description
The Validator SCV500EMV card reader is designed to provide an EMV solution that is compact
in size yet though enough for daily usage. It accepts a variety of contactless credit.

3-2-Mounting Procedure
Below is an installation guide of Pole mount bracket and wall mount bracket for SCV500EMV
Passenger Validator. It describes step-by-step installation of the clamp assembly, SCV500EMV
Passenger Validator for a typical application in a bus.
3-2-1-Pole mount bracket
The Clamp Assembly can be mounted on cylindrical vertical bar with diameter between 25mm
and 45mm. However, the ideal diameter is between 30mm and 40mm.
Following drawings show the installation steps:

The SCV500EMV smart card installation is as follow:
1- First you need to open back screw to open the device

2- You can insert Smart Card in any slot of SAM module.

5-Wiring Instruction
5-1- Data and Power Connector (P-1 & P-2)
Data and Power connector part number are “KF2EDG 3.81MM 7Pin” you can see this connector
in following image.
Note: this connector will provide with device.

5-2-GPS and GPRS antenna Connector (optional)


GPS and GPRS antenna connector is Male SMA Connector which you can see it in following
image.

GPS antenna type is Active standard GPS antenna 1575MHz.

SCV500EMV has built-in 3G/GPRS antenna 800 ~ 2100 MHz, but you can connect external
GPRS antenna to this connector.
