g Fitting, instrumentation and testing.
This can be effected in a number of ways e.g.

• As a complete assembled & tested unit by valve manufacturers at their works, for a completely
ex-works package. This involves the supply of actuator and ancillaries to the valve manufacturer’s
works. This method is convenient but can suffer from cost penalties caused by multiple handling.
• By OneSteel’s Valves & Actuation services through local specialist contractors. This method
requires OneSteel to assemble all components for final mounting, instrumentation, fitting and testing.
Engineering responsibility for the valve and its actuator rests with OneSteel throughout the contract.
Sometimes a combination of methods may prove the most effective and cost-competitive.

The IQ range of actuators are self-contained units for local and remote
operation of valves. They comprise an electric motor, reduction gearing,
reversing starter with local controls, turns and torque limitation with
electronic logic controls and monitoring facilities, all housed in a

The IQ range of actuators are self-contained units for local and remote
