GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES


 PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE INSTRUCTIONS MENTIONED
BELOW BEFORE FILLING UP THE APPLICATION FORM.
1. The above posts are sanctioned by Department of Education, Gandhinagar with
letter no. BHNY-1117-N.B.-CHE-174-Kh-2, Sachivalay, Gandhinagar dated
10/05/2018.
2. One can download application form and eligibility criteria from BKNMU website
www.bknmu.edu.in from 1st June,2018 upto 20th June,2018 at 5:00 p.m.This
application form is an editable word format, and the applicants should fill up by
typing the same using 12 point Times New Roman/Arial fonts.
3. Complete and correct information against each item should be entered. Incomplete
applications may result in rejection of the same.
4. Applicants should submit Three Printed Hard Copies of the application (use A 4
size paper) to the University. Please do not attach original documents. Print outs
should be taken only on one side of the paper.
5. All candidates will have to make a presentation of minimum ten minutes for
teaching skills. Candidate can select the relevant topic for presentation.
6. The qualifications for teaching posts shall be strictly as per the UGC Regulations,
2010 and Regulation, 2016: Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers
and Academic Staff in Universities. Amendments time to time with regard to
qualifications made by the UGC & State Government shall be binding to the
candidates.
7. The API score claimed by the applicant under category II and III shall be used only
as an eligibility criteria. Scrutiny committee’s decision regarding calculation of API
score will be final.
8. SC/ST/SEBC category candidates should attach Caste Certificate of the Competent
Authority. SEBC Category candidates should submit ‘Non Creamy-layer
Certificate’ which should be valid for the financial year 2018-19.
9. For physically handicapped candidates [PH], having not less than 40% extent of
disability are required to submit the relevant certificate; duly certified by a
competent medical authority.
10. The candidates have to pay prescribed processing fees only by the D.D in favour of
‘Registrar, Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh’. No other mode of

payment will be accepted. The processing fee (application form fee) is Rs.500/- for
SC / ST and Rs. 1000/- for other candidate. Candidate need to apply fresh and pay
fees even if he/she was applied earlier.
11. Write your name and Post Applied for on the back side of the DD.
12. Please write Application for the post of _____________ in ____________on top of
envelope.
13. Candidates must enclose the self-attested copies of all mark sheet and passing
Certificates of examinations i.e. Higher Secondary, Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s
Degree/Doctorate etc. In the absence of the self-attested copies of Mark
sheets/Certificates etc. application shall be considered as incomplete and such
applicants may not be invited for interview.
14. Application should be submitted as per given proforma only. Incomplete/without
attaching necessary testimonials/without DD of prescribed fee or application
received after last date would be rejected.
15. Candidates, if invited for interviews, will have to come at their own expense.
16. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post and also to make any
amendments.
17. The University reserves the right to short-list the candidates on the merit-
based/aptitude test/written test criteria or any other method for the purpose of
inviting the candidates for interview. The decision of University with regard to the
process of selection shall be final and binding on the candidate.
18. If any dispute arises, the decision of the University shall be final. If there is any
ambiguity and/or the matter requires any interpretation, the interpretation of the
University shall be final.
19. In case of any legal proceeding by or against the University, Courts within whose
local jurisdiction, Headquarter of the Univesity is situated shall have the
jurisdiction.
20. If information provided in the application is found incorrect at any stage, the
applicant is liable to be rejected.
21. A salary certificate for the month May, 2018 showing pay scale, Grade Pay, D.A.
and other allowances being paid by their Institution/Office/Firm should be enclosed
with the application form and also be produced at the time of interview for salaried
person.
22. When you apply for more than one post, you should submit a separate application
with testimonials and processing fee for each post.

23. Candidates already in employment in University, Educational Institutions,
Government Establishments and Organizations shall have to send their applications
through their present employer on or before the prescribed date. However, due to
any unavoidable circumstances if the application through proper channel is likely to
be delayed then an advance copy must reach the university Office on or before the
last date of application. Persons employed after making application in response to
this advertisement must bring a ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview
from their employers.
24. Any additional qualifications, experience, number of papers published, honours and
other achievements gained by the candidate during the period between the last date
of application and the date of conducting the interview shall not be taken into
consideration.
25. MAJOR FIVE PUBLICATIONS FOR ASSESSMENT BY THE EXPERTS are
to be submitted with the application as a separate attachment in two copies. Do not
club/bind with the main application.
26. Candidates in their own interest are adivsed to remain in touch with the University
website (www.bknmu.edu.in). They should also regularly check University website
for updates.
27. Any change of postal address given in the application form should at once be
communicated to the University.
28. The University will not be reponsible for any postal delay or application lost in
transit.
29. Applications sent through email will not be entertained.
30. Candidate has to submit conversion table from CGPA to percentage in case of
marksheet with CGPA without fail.
31. The applicant should ensure that the application is submitted to the University
through Registered Post A.D/Speed Post/Courier or in Person so as to reach to the
Registrar, Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, junagadh on or before 20th June,
2018 during office hours.
32. Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor are to fill up the application
form in the prescribed proforma. The Assistant Professor need not require to input
the API score in this proforma.
