ABSTRACT
Efforts that need to be made to encourage the production of
salt in the country, one of which is by utilizing existing natural wealth such as sea water, namely by assessing the potential of salt levels in sea water. Salt production can be done in several categories based on differences in the content of NaCl as the main element of salt. Thus, the need for analysis of sodium salt levels can be measured by using concentration spectroscopy absorbance methods found in seawater samples in several locations in East Java, namely Kenjeran, Suramadu and Sumenep. The method used is to measure the results of the voltage output received by the LDR sensor from the sample to be tested by comparing the results of measurements of sea water samples on the results of reading the spectrium device and the OPM measuring instrument as a benchmark for valid data results. The process of taking data using OPM and Spectrium is to make a standard solution of sodium (NaNO3 + HNO3) with a concentration of 100 mg / l, 200 mg / l, 300 mg / l, 400 mg / l and 500 mg / l. Based on the results of the output voltage measurement data obtained from Spectrium in the sample variation with the standard solution concentration of 100 mg / l, 200 mg / l, 300 mg / l, 400 mg / l and 500 mg / l, it is 4.46; 4.46; 4.47; 4.48 and 4.48 Volt. The results of the voltage data obtained by the results of linear regression equation y = 6.10-5 x + 4.452. . The value of the correlation coefficient (R) obtained is 0.9. The results of measurements of seawater solutions from 3 beaches, namely Kenjeran, Suramadu and Sumenep, obtained stress results of 4.49; 4.5 and 4.47 Volts. The results of reading the solution concentration at 3 points of the Kenjeran beach area, Suramadu and Sumenep using the Spectrium tool respectively showed the concentration of NaCl salt of 633.3 ppm, 800 ppm and 300 ppm.
