5 Diseases that you can get from Dirty or contaminated food.

1. 1.Cholera:
Cholera is a disease that involves severe painless, watery diarrhea caused by Vibrio
cholerae bacteria which can transmit via contaminated water and food. Cholera causes a
severe dehydration or great loss of body fluid due to diarrhea and vomiting or both. This
may cause the patient flop and even die within a few hours if treatment is ignored.
Symptoms include watery diarrhea, stomach pains, dry mouth, sunken eyes and
concentrated colored urine.
2. 2Typhoid Fever:
It’s a serious and potentially fatal illness which is caused by a bacterial infection. This
disease is primarily associated with poor hygiene and is more common in homes with
poor sanitation. The dirty environment will harbor flies that will transmit the germ from
dirty toilets and latrines. It is caused by a bacteria known as Salmonella typhi. The
disease is deadly in treatment is not initiated early. Symptoms include High-temperature
loss of appetite, headache, stomach pain and usually some weakness.
3. Tetanus:
This is a dangerous disease caused by the toxin produced by a germ Clostridium tetani.
This germ can be in human and animal feces. It can get into the soil and onto other
objects on the ground if feces are left lying around. A person can get the disease when the
germ gets into the body through a cut or another kind of break in the skin which comes
into contact with an object such as a rusty nail, soil, or human feces, which is
contaminated with the germ.
4. Dengue fever: Dengue fever is a highly dangerous disease. It has claimed thousands of
lives worldwide. So far, up to date, there is no specific medication to treat the fever. Once
contracted the disease, the patient needs to be monitored closely for high fever,
dehydration, and internal bleeding. Failure to administer the condition properly could
expose the patient to high risk including death. Dengue fever is transmitted by the Aedes
Mosquitoes. A dirty environment is breeding sites for mosquitoes and this increases the
risk of contracting the disease.
5. Hepatitis A:
This disease is caused by a virus germ.the disease range from mild illness to a very
serious illness. It causes fever, nausea and stomach cramps and sometimes death.. The
germ which causes hepatitis A is commonly found in the feces of people who are already
infected. The dirty environment at home will contribute to transmission of the germ by
flies, the germ can be passed directly from person to person, or indirectly, by food or
drinking water contaminated by the germ.
