Anti-collision protocols were implemented in Arduino Mega by coding in Arduino IDE according

to the concept of each of the anti-collision protocols. Their hardware implementation was
obtained by using LEDs and their performance was compared for the case of two RFID readers it
can also be generalised for n RFID readers. In the case of hospital equipments, a reader is placed
in each room and a tag on each device that needs to be tracked. The tags used are passive RFID
tags and the reader is EM-18 RFID reader.

Dynamic Slotted ALOHA

in Dynamic Slotted ALOHA the slot allocation was done using timer functions of arduino and
each reader caleed the timer interrupt for a certain specified time slot according to its
frequency.a watchdog timer was used to reset the system after every 8 seconds to check the
frequency for the next samples.
