Letter No. CBSE/CE/SECRET/2018 dated 19.02.2018 from the Chairperson, Central Board of Secondary Education (Board) on the captioned subject. 2. In view of the circumstances mentioned in the D.O. Letter from the Chairperson, CBSE, you are requested to kindly issue necessary instructions to the concerned branches to ensure that on 2" and 4" Saturdays falling during the ensuing months of March and April, 2018, the designated officers of the branches make necessary arrangements to deliver the question papers to the Centre Superintendent or his / her representatives on the day of examination on 2" and 4" Saturdays also. Further, Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) may kindly issue similar instructions to the private sectors banks, Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) and a Cooperative Bank, as mentioned in the enclosed D.O. letter from the Chairperson. No,CBSE/CE/SECRET/2018 Roepeted Sv , CBSE has announced the date sheets for conduct of Class-Xll and X final examinations for the year 2018. The examinations will be conducted in 168 subjects of Class-XIl and 70 subjects of Class-X for 12 lac candidates of Class XII and 18.5 lac candidates of Class-X. The ‘examinations will be held in 4462 centres spread pan India and 25 foreign countries. 19.02.2018 In previous years, the examinations were scheduled from 1" March. Keeping in view the General Elections to the Legislative Assemblies 2018 scheduled in 3 States of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura, the examinations in 2018 will be starting from 5" March, 2018 and end on 13" April,2018 for Class-Xll and on 4" April, 2018 for Class-X. As per the past practice of the Board, the question papers ate stored in banks. The officials concerned distribute the ae papr’packets to the Centre Superintendents or his/her representatives on the days of Jue to the number of subjects and stretching of examinations for about 40 days, it is not MM not to hold examinations on 2™ and 4" Saturdays being holidays for the banks. In aor 8, examination for some of the subjects are scheduled to be held on 2™ and 4” Saturdays in we month of March and 2” Saturday in the month of April Therefore, it will be necessary for these Custodian Banks (list enclosed) that they detiver question papers to the Centre Superintendent or his/her representative on the day of eat mination on 2™ and 4" Saturdays also. In view of the above, | request you to instruct the authorities of these Banks that their ones officials hand over the question papers on the day of examination for its smooth conduct on 2™ and 4" Saturdays also.
