distance of 96.5m and a vertical height 26m. coal has density of 800 kg/m3
and an angle of repose of 50 degree, belt speed is to be limited to 2m/s and
coefficient of rolling resistance if=s to be 0.02. coefficient of friction between
drive roller and belt is 0.3. it has troughing angle of 25 degree.

Q.3. A Bucket elevator is to be designed to handle aluminum ore at a rate of 100


tons per hr. the height of elevator is 20m. the material contains lumps up to
100mm with average size of 35mm the material is abrasive. The material
weights 1300 kgf/m3.

ton/cubic metre and abrasive in nature.
