PEDALE

User’s manual
The electrical system comprises a start switch which is activated via a pedal
and a capacitor for motor releasing current. In order to start the test, the pedal
must be pressed down not on the tip but on the inner part farthest away from
the operator. The by positioning the foot on this part of the pedal causes the
table to vibrate whereas withdrawing the foot causes vibrations to cease.
The pedal however has a dual function so that the pedal can be blocked to
allow vibration of the table without needing to keep the pedal blocked.

COMPACTION TEST
The table should be made to vibrate for the minimum amount of time
necessary in order to obtain complete compaction of concrete in the moulds.
Avoid excessive vibration which could cause mixture to segregate or lead to
the loss of any air introduced artificially.
It is also advisable, as prescribed by Standards, to interrupt vibrations as
soon as the surface of the concrete is relatively flat and apparently glazy.
For further information or clarification concerning compaction test, consult
Standards.
