• WHAT IS THE BIM?
BIM means ,for build information model BIM is for everyone in the construction
industry , in fact you won't be able to escape it . BIM is not a new idea, it's simply
a fact and will only become more important in the future.
• but what actually is BIM ?
• BIM is a process for creating and managing all of the information on a project –
before, during and after construction. The output of this process is the building
information model ,the digital description of every aspect of the built asset.
For this description ,we can understand that BIM is a way of working together it's
a methodology for the integral design. construction and maintenance of a
project, with all partners .this is done by a mutual exchange of data. Resulting in
a complete digital description of a building project. from this description ,a
digital model is made, built up from a standardized object library.
You can use BIM with ,a bridge, a road a tunnel ,or a complete infrastructure. Also
with a building or a complex of buildings .
BIM is available for the entire lifecycle of a construction project from design
.through construction management maintenance even to demolition

However, it is a fact that even domestic projects can also be complex.
• Lack of BIM specialists:
• There are limited numbers of expertise working in this field ,so bim s softwere need
extra investment in training and education.
• 62% of small contractors (with five or less staff) and 77% of firms (six or more staff)
expressed that they do not have the in-house current BIM skills. However, the upturn
in the industry is increasing the demand for recruitment and should be an ideal time
to recruit people with necessary skills. Smaller contractors can also invest in training
which would incur lower aggregate costs.
