It is with great pleasure that I write this letter in support of Trisha Bacalso. Over the past year
and a half, Ms. Bacalso has quickly proven herself to be a dedicated student and a very capable
music educator. Her range of experiences would make her an ideal addition to any music
program.

I have had the pleasure of having Ms. Bacalso in my Band Techniques class this semester, one of
our core courses for music education majors. Throughout the class, she has demonstrated keen
insight when providing feedback to her peers, attention to detail when submitting assignments,
and a proactive disposition, reflecting a well-organized approach to work. She is intelligent and
methodical, both skills that serve her as an asset. I have no doubt that she will make not only a
terrific teacher, but also a cordial and welcome colleague.

I have also had the opportunity to supervise Ms. Bacalso as a section coach and student
conductor for our Outreach Honor Band, a once-a-week ensemble for students in grades 6-9. Ms.
Bacalso has served on staff since last spring and I am consistently impressed with her
preparation and work with the students. They respond well to her and enjoy their time in
sectionals. She consistently works to integrate my feedback to her in her teaching and
conducting. Often, I am able to see her implementing my feedback the very next week, showing
both a desire to improve and willingness to incorporate ways to improve student achievement.

I have no doubt that Ms. Bacalso will be a strong addition to your school community. She will
excel as a teacher and guide for your students, be a steadfast professional for your parents, and a
dedicated colleague for your employees. I strongly urge you to give Ms. Bacalso every
