ROLEPLAY

There is a girl who has a high fever for two days. Her mother is so worried about of this
condition. This girl always cries because she feel fever, headache, and her body is getting
down. Because of this girl cried, her mother called hospital and registered her daughter for
checking up.

*Kring…*

Dini : “assalamualaikum”

Ryani : “waalaikumsalam, with Global hospital, nurse Ryani Here, can I help you?”

Dini : “I want to registered my daughter. She’s now sick, I want my daughter to be checked up
right now.”

Ryani : “okay maam, what is her name?”

Dini : “her name is Ina. She has fever since 2 days ago. She told me that her head is painful
also her eye, and she doesn’t want to eat.”

Ryani : “okay maam, now you can go to hospital quickly. You got number 5. Doctor stay at this
hospital and your daughter can be checked up soon.”

Dini : “okay thank you.”

Dini is immediately taking her daughter to the hospital. In hospital, her daughter body is
very weak. As soon as possible, doctor immediately checks and take her blood. Doctor
diagnosed that, she got Dengue Hemorragic Fever. She must be hospitalized immediately in
rose room.

Riska : “good evening, I’m your nurse right now. My name is Riska Fitriani. How do you feel
right now?”

Dini : “the fever hasn’t gone down yet.”

Ina : “my head is very sick. And I feel my body is very weak?”

Riska : “you heard a DHF right?”

Ina : “yes.”

Riska : “can I check you?”

Dini : “of course.”

Riska is going to check Ina. First, she doing check her Blood Preasure.

Riska : “your Blood Preasure is normal, it’s 120/60 mmHg. Your breathing is normal it’s
20x/mnt. Your pulse too, it’s 90x/mnt. But your temperature is so high, 38 degrees
celcius. You should drink mineral water often so will not be dehydrated. And you must
take enough rest. Maybe later I give you a medicine but you should eat first. After you
eatl, I will come back again to give you medicine.”
Dini : “Oh okay. Thank you very much.”

Riska : “my pleasure. Now, I’m going back to nurse station. If you need a help, you can push a
button beside this bed.”

Her meal is coming. Dini gives her daughter meal.

Riska : “good evening, how’s your meal? Have you eaten it?”
Dini : “Alhamdulillah, her meal is running out.”

Riska : “alright, this is her medicines. Doctor gives this antibiotic for her fever. Don’t forget to
drink it. You want to back to school again, right?”

Ina : “yes, I want”

Riska : “okey, maybe later doctor will visiting you at 2 P.M.”

Dini : “alright, thanks in advance.”

At 2 P.M, doctor is coming and visiting Ina.

Doctor : “good evening. And you are?”

Ina : “Ina, doc.”

Doctor : “how do you feel right now Ina?”

Ina : “Alhamdulillah, after I eat the medicine, I can sleep.”

Doctor : “okay, now let me check you.”

Doctor is checking ina.

Doctor : “any complaint?”

Ina : “nope, but I still feel my body is so weak.”

Riska : “all is normal. Her temperature is going down. Now it’s 37 degrees celcius.”

Doctor : “you should take a rest. I hope your condition is getting better. Don’t forget to drink
mineral water oftenly. And eat any fruits.”

Dini : “thankyou very much doc and nurse.”

Doctor : “you are welcome. Get well soon.”

Riska : “don’t forget to take your medicine again, right. And your meal too.”
Ina : “thankyou.”

Doctor and nurse leave the room.

5 days later, her condition is getting better. Doctor and nurse is going to check again.

Doctor : “good morning. How do you feel right now?”

Ina : “I’m feeling better. I want to go to home as soon as possible.”

Labora : “now we check again, so you can go to home quickly.”

Doctor : “if your condition is good, you can go home.”

Labora : “how is her meal maam?”

Dini : “her meal is getting better than before.”

Labora : “the result are normal from Blood Preasure, pulse, breathing and her temperature.”

Doctor : “alright, you can go home.”

Ina : “yes! I’m going home.”

Labora : “after this, you can go to nurse station maam for her medication and administration.”

Dini : “alright.”

In the nurse station, Dini dan Labora are talking for medication, and Labora is giving a
health education.

Labora : “this is a medication and her administration you must finish maam.”

Dini : “alright.”

Labora : “before going home, I want to give you an information abot DHF for you dan your
daughter. I’ve this leaflet, you can read it at home. But, I want to know whether, you know about
DHF, maam?”

Dini : “I don’t know. I think my daughter just got a fever.”

Ina : “I didn’t recognize it when I was bitten by a mosquito.”

Labora : “okay, now I want to explain about that.”

Labora gives a health education and leaflet. Dini is so happy listening labora’s explanation.

Labora : “Any question?”

Dini : “is DHF Contagius?”

Labora : “no maam. DHF is caused by mosquito. And a mosquito can spread the virus to human
body. Not from people by people.”

Dini : “alright, thankyou.”

Labora : “now, can you explain it again about DHF after I explain it to you?”

Ina : “dengue fever is an acute febrile disease caused by infection with of dengue virus.
Dengue is also known as a breakbonefever, hemorrhagic fever, dandy fever, infectious
thrombocytopenis purpora.”

Dini : “ we can prevent that with, 1. Change water in vases/bowls on alternate days, 2.Turn
over all water storage contains, 3.Remove water from flower pot plates in alternate days, 4.Cover
bamboo pole holders when not in use, 5.Clear blockages and put insecticides in pot monthly.

Labora : “yes you’re right maam. Don’t forget to read the leaflet. And keep your environment
health.”

Dini : “okay, thank you so much for all of them.”

Ina : “thank you.”

Labora : “you are welcome.”
