Material Notes: Oil quenched from 830°C, 540°C temper, 13 mm round. Post Oil quenched hardness 63 HRC surface, 62 HRC half-radius, 62 HRC center.

Contains a medium-to-high level of carbon. It is directly hardenable to medium hardness. Used for applications with smallish cross sections in severe service, notably automotive leaf springs and other spring and fastener uses.
