How long does aluminum
The Ore bauxite is used for producing pure
aluminum. Bauxite consists of 45-60%
aluminum oxide, along with various
impurities such as sand, iron, and other
metals. Caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) is
used to dissolve the aluminum compounds
found in the bauxite, separating them from
the impurities.Cryolite, a chemical
compound composed of sodium,
aluminum, and fluorine, is used as the
electrolyte (current-conducting medium) in
the smelting operation.The other major
ingredient used in the smelting operation is
carbon.
Step 1) Paint 2 layers of black paint
with brush onto canvas. Let dry.
Step 2) Cut soda can with scissors
and/or with an exacto knife to lay flat
Step 3) With cut out paper mold of a
flower petal, trace onto chosen soda
can and cut out. Also do this with the
flower petal, and flower stem.
Step 4) Assemble flower onto canvas
and attach with tacky glue.
Step 5) Take blue cans and cut out
random tiny squares and rectangles,
and glue them on.
Step 6) Let dry & enjoy your
handmade art!
