Abstract

Objective
To report an odontectomy case of impacted upper left third molar in certain level of difficulty
the growth of surrounding its anatomy.

Case Report
Surgery was taken in relatively fast performed under general anesthesia. An incision was made
by using No.15 blade extended from Maxillary Tuberosity to the distal of upper first molar,
identification of the impacted third molar location signed clearly by the presence of bulging on
the buccal maxillary bone, and finally odontectomy was done by wound suturing.

Conclusion
Odontectomy on impacted upper third molar can be very challenging case in certain deep
position of the impacted tooth. By understanding the growth of surrounding anatomies that
forms particular sign, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon can perform a suitable sugical
technique to ease the odontectomy procedure.
