Anupam Mittal

Architect Anupam Mittal graduated from Government College of Architecture,

Lucknow in 1994 and within a year of passing out, started his design firm, in the
name of Architects Plus. He is now the Principal Architect & Director of Arinem
Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. along with Architect and Urban Planner Shubhra
Mittal.
With a professional experience of more than 20 years in the field, he has been a
design lead consultant for almost 500 projects and has undertaken 3 lakhs
dwelling units in residential segment within the country and abroad, which has
earned him several awards and acclaims.
He is an active member for various forums like IIA, IIID, GCAAA etc. He is also
regular to special interaction sessions and juries for various architecture institutes.
He has been sharing his views and concerns on several national platforms
especially regarding Urbanization, Green Building and Monolithic Concrete
Construction technology. His interviews and articles are regularly published in
country’s leading TV, FM Radio and print media like Times of India, India Today,
Uday, Green Constructions, Sahara TV, Doordarshan, ETV etc.
Since academic days, he had special interest in concrete. His new and innovative
outlook towards RCC structures earned him acclaim from various state
governments, especially for urban poor housing/ affordable housing for their
simplified grid system, creative and practical approach towards structure of the
building. He also coined the name RMDC (Rapid Monolithic Disaster proof
Construction) for monolithic concrete construction, a technology he has
passionately followed, researched and used in most of his work. He also assisted
on a book of Box Culvert Design.
The Indian Concrete Institute, Western UP chapter, recognized this innovative
approach in concrete design recently by awarding his project Multi-level parking in
Ghaziabad, Four Storied Sapna Enclave at Ghaziabad & Multistoried Residential
Building at Siddharth Vihar, Ghaziabad with Outstanding Concrete Structure.
He has also recently been awarded by HUDCO (Housing & Urban Development
Corporation) under Government of India) for commendation of work done for
sustainable & green building for his own house in Lucknow.
He travels between his two offices in Delhi and Lucknow managing projects
spread pan India including Delhi NCR, MP, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP and
an international project in Maldives too. In his free time, he enjoys poetry writing,
playing drums, singing & playing golf.
As a keen golfer, he has travelled many places all across the world and has won
many tournaments in golf too.
To give an outlet to his concern for social upliftment of the country, he has
recently entered into making short films on relevant social issues.
