Reading
9 Read the information about a music festival.
The Larmer Tree Festival is a music festival that takes place in July
every year. It has been running for over 20 years but has never grown
in size so there are only 4,000 tickets available.
The Larmer Tree Gardens are beautiful with lots of old trees, flowers
and woodland walks. In 1880 people could go to the gardens for rest
and entertainment.
Lots of bands play every day, starting at lunchtime and not finishing
until midnight. Festival-goers can spend their time listening to music
from all over the world but if they prefer there are plenty of quiet
places to sit and eat or chat with friends.
As well as music, there are also lots of activities for children, as it
is a family festival. There are jugglers and face painters and lots of
workshops to go to.
You can go to the festival for just one day but most people want to stay
for longer, so they camp. There is a large campsite next to the Larmer
Tree gardens and there is a shop where you can buy food to cook.
There really is something for everyone at this fantastic music festival!
Are the sentences true (T), false (F) or doesn’t say (DS)?
1 The festival has grown every year.
2 Tickets for the festival are expensive.
3 There is only music during the daytime.
4 The festival is for both children and adults.
