CONTEXT
Business Model Innovation (BMI) and achieving inclusion through it is not new to Indians. Scarcity and constraints of various types across
consumer and resource markets, institutions such as joint families and different social norms have teased the Indian mind to innovate ‘value-
for-money’-inclusive solutions capable of being replicated within and across households.
Corporations, across geographies have come to recognize the strategic importance of investing in business model innovation. This was
revealed in the AIMA Global Innovation Conference of 2009. The 2nd Conference takes a deep-dive into understanding how corporations are
utilizing the natural proclivity within an Indian mind towards achieving inclusion through business model innovation.
The 2nd AIMA Global Innovation Conference will discuss experiences of business leaders on what it takes for high performance businesses to
create a strong platform for facilitating business model innovations with inclusion at its core. It also provides an insight into how corporations
derive optimum value from their existing business models and complement breakthrough innovations with incremental ones.
