PERSIAPAN BAHAN PENGAWET 8/13
Bahan Pengawet
1) secara fisika, didinginkan pada 30C ± 30C serta menutup rapat wadah sampel
2) secara kimia, ditambahkan bahan kimia yang dapat menghambat aktifitas
mikrobiologi atau mencegah terjadinya reaksi kimia
3) bahan pengawet mempunyai kemurnian tinggi
4) pengawetan dilakukan di lapangan sesaat setelah pengambilan sampel dan
hindari percikan/tumpahan
5) setelah penambahan bahan pengawet, sampel dicek pH-nya
6) jumlah bahan pengawet ke sampel = ke blanko dan tidak bersifat pengenceran
(1,5 – 5 mL HNO3 pekat tiap 1 L sampel air akan hasilkan pH < 2)
7) hindari kebocoran/tumpahan bahan pengawet serta dipisahkan dari wadah
sampel untuk menghindari kontaminasi

menggunakan tinta tahan air (waterproof ink)
