Summary

The focus of this study is to determine the effects of technology to the

academic performance of the students in Far Eastern University Manila High School

specifically the grade 11 students. The impact of technology to the attainment of the

students has been explored. As presented in the findings of this study, it showed that

technology is undeniably helpful and beneficial to the students. As the respondents

answered the questions that the researchers laid upon them, they have presented a

positive feedback with regards to technology and its utility. They view technology as

useful and essential in studying. Concerning their interest in academics, findings have

shown that it does not really affect their interest but nonetheless it presents different

ways to gain knowledge and information as it is in the classroom, which presents the

traditional way of teaching. Also, the respondents or the students have already spoken

that students are better equipped with technology for it widens and does not limit their

knowledge from just the four corners of the room. These answers from the students

were said for the reason that technology is easily accessed and they can get

information freely from it without any cost. However, there is no certainty that the

information they can get is from a reliable source, which makes the information

unreliable and untrustworthy. Even so, there are far more reliable sources they can get

from it, they just have to be sensible and wise.
