MEMORANDUM FOR

SUBJECT: Letter of Recommendation

I highly recommend Cadet Major Maria Bolden for acceptance into the University of North Georgia for the
upcoming 2019-2020 college year. Her positive attitude, high degree of maturity, and excellence in academics,
sets her apart from her peers.

This school year, Maria has set the example for our Corps of Cadets. She was chosen by the class as the cadet
that best represented the values that are the backbone of the JROTC program. She is highly regarded by her
peer as an excellent example of leadership and dedication.

Maria is completing her first semester of this school year with a 3.5 Cumulative Grade Point Average and a
Class standing of 104/243. She will continue to enroll in tougher challenging Advance placement courses as
well as participating in the dual enrollment program with University of North Georgia during her senior year.
Her eagerness to challenge herself and respond positively goes unmatched when compared to other students at
her grade level. Her chosen career path of college and onto a career in Marine Biology demonstrates her focus
and commitment.

For extra-curricular activities, Maria has participates in all JROTC special teams. She is currently the Battalion
Executive Officer, 2nd in charge of our program and responsible for all Battalion staff elements. She is a four
year veteran of our Competition Drill Team and Color Guard, our competition Raider team, and our Honor
Guard. Maria is a critical member of our organization. She is also involved in numerous school organization
and school clubs. Her influence and involvement throughout the school is recognized by all of our teachers and
administrators. She is a shining example of JROTC involvement throughout the school.

Without reservation, I recommend Cadet Maria Bolden to be chosen as member of the University of North
Georgia student body for Academic year 2019-2020. She is the perfect candidate for your university.
