The purpose of this bulletin is to inform the field of a The new main bearing K-Type thermocouple individual

The new main bearing thermocouple harness upgrade See Table 3 for the quantity of main bearing
kit (P/N G-962-1126) replaces main bearing harness thermocouples on each engine type.

When replacing individual K-Type thermocouples on
the previous production main bearing thermocouple
harness P/N 214037D, remove and discard the
original quick disconnect (see Figure 1).

Pull the cable through the oil pan until the stop collar
(see Figure 2) engages, with the ferrule, which allows
for uniform tension in all thermocouple cables and
prevents stress on the cable. Install the male end of
the thermocouple connector to the connector body.

Use the new connector body, wedge, mounting clip

and pins provided in the new main bearing K-Type
thermocouple individual upgrade kit (G-962-1170).
Use the crimping tool (P/N 495830) to secure the pins
on the previous production harness P/N 214037D
wiring. The new thermocouple P/N 208426K can
be used with the previous production harness
P/N 214037D.
