A. Put the verbs in brackets in the correct tense. (10 points)

Write a narrative essay beginning with the following words: Why is that the most important changes
in our lives happen when we least expect them to? My life had settled into a comfortable satisfying
routine when suddenly everything changed. Do not exceed 250 words.

QUESTION III 25 points

An English friend is coming to visit you, and it will be his/her birthday during the visit. Write a letter to
your friend. In your letter:
 say how you feel about the visit
 suggest what you could do on his/her birthday
 try to find out what your friend thinks of your idea.
Sign your letter as Chris. (120-150 words)
