PREFACE
First of all, I would to thank you the almighty Allah SWT that had given
me the chance to join and finish the Sea-Teacher batch 7th program that held by
SEAMEO.
In this Sea-Teacher project I got a lot of experience and increase
knowledge that I wrote here as the report. I hope my report can be useful for the
readers. I am sure that there is a lot of lack of this report. Therefore I absolutely

internet. For the technology, teacher in international program class can use power
point but for regular class it is still lack of the technology in the new building. So,
the teacher use radio tape to manage the listening section.

Teaching Plan
3.1 Curriculum
There is no example of curriculum from the teacher but there is general
curriculum for every lesson and every grade that made by the ministry of
education. One of the example is:
Strand 1: Language for Communication Standard
FL1.1: Understanding and ability in interpreting what has been heard and read
from various types of media, and ability to express opinions with reasons.
Grade-level Indicators:
Grade 8 (M2):
1. Act in compliance with requests, instructions, clarifications and simple
explanations heard and read.
2. Accurately read aloud paragraphs, news, advertisements and short poems
by observing the principles of reading.
3. Specify/ write sentences and paragraphs related to various forms of non-
text information read.
2. Choose the topic and the main idea, tell the supporting details and express
the opinions about what has been heard and read, as well as provide the
justifications and the simple examples for illustrations.

1. Concept: Weather is the state of the atmosphere, to the degree that it is hot or
cold, wet or
dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy. People often ask about the weather because
they want to wear appropriate clothing.

4. Teaching and Learning Procedures
4.1 Pre-task
4.1.1 The teacher shows students pictures of “The weather symbols; sunny,
rainy, windy,
cloudy, snowy, hot, cold” and asks them the following questions. Then, the
teacher sticks the pictures on a board.
-What weather do you like? Why?
- Do you like sunny, rainy, windy, cloudy, snow?
-Have you ever seen snow?
4.1.2 The teacher teaches new vocabulary using flash cards by asking
students to repeat
the words after the teacher.

4.2 Task Preparation
4.2.1 The teacher distributes students Worksheet 1 and asks them to write
the new

studied vocabulary under the correct pictures in Part 1. In part 2, each student
writes the studied sentences in conversation between Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Jane.
4.2.2 The teacher distributes students Worksheet 2: “Weather in
Thailand” which has
some missing information and asks them practice speaking using Information-gap
Task as follows.
“You and your partner will get Worksheet 2 which is incomplete. You
have to ask your
partner to complete the weather in Thailand. Don’t let your friend look at your
worksheet…”
4.2.2.1 The teacher tells about how to do the Information-gap Task.
4.2.2.2 Student A has A sheet: “Weather in Thailand”, and Student
B has B Sheet: “Weather in Thailand”. Student A must ask Student B to tell the
weather and temperature is marked on Sheet A, but not on Sheet B. Student B
must correctly write down the weather and temperature on Sheet B. Then students
reverse roles to speak.
4.3 Task Realization
4.3.1 The teacher distributes students Worksheet 3: “Weather around the
world” which has some missing information and asks them practice speaking
using Information-gap Task as follows.
4.3.1.1 In pairs, Student A has A sheet: Weather in Thailand, and
Student B has B Sheet: “Weather in Thailand”. Student A must ask Student B to
tell the weather and temperature are marked on Sheet A, but not on Sheet B.
Student B must correctly write down the weather and temperature on Sheet B.
Then students reverse roles.
4.3.2 The teacher lets some pairs to present the weather around the world.
“Everyone, I’d like you to present the weather around the world to
the class.”
4.4 Post-task
4.4.1 The teacher and students discuss the questions that they have used
for asking about
and describing the weather.

Observation on Teacher (s)

The teacher was very fluent, able to control the class, master the material,
and effective in teaching process so the students did not feel boring and
understand the lesson. The teacher made the students active by calling their
attendance list to answer the question. In the beginning the students were polite by
greeting the teacher also when the class finished. The teacher taught the students
in the good arrangement so the students were not confused. The teacher used
game to make students curious, did not feel sleepy and they enjoyed it.

The problem that relate to the lesson plan or the material of teaching was
solve by discussing with the teacher mentor. While the problem relate to students
during the teaching process had to solve by student teacher herself.

5. Concept: Request is an act of asking politely or formally for something.
When people do request it means they need other people’s help. Agreeing is
consent to do something that has been suggested by another person. It sometime
happens when people discussing something or simply ask you about her/ his idea.
Refusing indicate or show that one is willing to do something. It also happen in
the discussing situation or simply ask you about her/ his idea. Offering is a thing
offered, it can be as a gift or contribution. Accepting is consent to receive a thing
offered.

4.3 Task Realization

4.3.2 The teacher prepare worksheet, then ask student by their absent
number to come forward and practice in front of the class or, if there are
any volunteer they can practice directly.
