INTODUCTION: Anti encroachment drive This article was published in Dawn news paper on 14th
November 2018.

On oct 27 supreme court ordered encroachment must be removed from sadder KMC
demolished over1000 shops and illegal structure from sadder. The encroachment drive not only
stopped here it further extended to all over the city either its shops ,sign boards or any other
exceeding building must be demolished. Mayor Karachi waseem akhtar promised Empress
market will become a heritage model again. but all of this demolition badly effected the
vendors and public .as KMC demolished shops and illegal structure without any notice
shopkeepers started to protest against this, commissioner Karachi give them few days to
remove their goods ,furniture from shops and also promised to provide them alternative.
saddar and old city has to be the start because it was already become very congested area .
these encroachments become the risk for to life however KMC who is doing all the operation is
itself responsible for this encroachments. Before doing this operation they should have given
people a time period so it was not become a threat for their life.

In the end I would like to ask KMC, Will they ensure that there would be no more
encroachments appear once again?

CONCLUSSION:

If the law and order applied strictly from the beginning ,there would not be a big problem for
people and thi massive drive must not have occurred and become the threat for people life.
We should always implement laws from the begging and if they think its illegal it must not have
started before.
