Dear Sir or Madam / , :
Over 6 years, I took care of selecting the U17 Female Baix Llobregat Team, for what I had
to scout many players, travelling to different places and collecting a bundle of details in order to be
conscious of which place they could fit in the pitch. In this process, I discovered Laura Fernández
(who scored 107 goals in a season for her Club!) and, nowadays, she is playing for RCD Espanyol
from 2017. I had the opportunity to know her when she was playing for Penya Recreativa Sant Feliu,
in Barcelona (Spain), and she was one of my favorite selected players for the Baix Llobregat Team.
Every summer we played against the best selected players from Catalonia (like National Team, but
regional level). It was a grateful experience and forged my criteria in referring to analyzing teams,
players (strengths and weaknesses and best position in order to their abilities, for example) and
matches… Not only I had to do the recruitment, but I trained and following up many of them, year by
year. Basing in results, we won the Catalonian Tournament twice (2015 and 2017) and we get the
second place in 2014.
At the same time I took care of the Baix Llobregat Team, I trained a Senior Female Team
at Fontsanta – Fatjó for two years. In fact, it was my first experience in a team. I could complement
my learnings with the weekly work, preparing the training daily sessions, analyzing the objectives and
making a detailed monitoring. It was a difficult task because there were some players who never played
football before, so I learned to adapt my sessions to different levels with an inclusive methodology
reaching the conclusion that the best of playing is the inductive style. After that, I signed up for another
team for three years, U.E. Sant Ildefons, a humble club, but with values. There, I was the assistant
coach in the U19 Team. I could learn a lot with my colleague, and we worked very good together.
When I finished my period in Sant Ildefons, I started working in Penya Barcelonista Anguera, as the
U7 Team Head Coach for a year. Then, I was hired by BSA for one of their academies where I took
care of many groups with different ages and levels. I was there for two years. I had the opportunity to
work with them a year later for another project.
Another of these projects was to train C.E. L’Hospitalet U19 Team, a club with a long tra-
dition in Catalonia, with which we were about to get the promotion to a higher category. After that, I
finally was appointed to be part of the F.C. Cerdanyola technical staff for their senior female team
(the team was playing in the “Preferente” category, the 3rd female division in Spain). It was a good
opportunity to put all my learning into practice, because the players had a high level. I was interviewed
several times by the radio (you can listen one of these interviews at the podcast uploaded by me in
https://youtu.be/SRGh1b6g1jM?t=92 -I uploaded two more videos that you could see too in my chan-
nel “Nicolás Garrancho Aranda”-). But it was for a short while because, suddenly, I was called for
joining in the Real Madrid Foundation in its Dominican Republic headquarters.

NICOLÁS ( ) GARRANCHO ARANDA
UEFA PRO – SPANISH COACH
Nowadays, I am the Technical Director for Real Madrid Foundation in Santiago de Los
Caballeros (Dominican Republic), country where I have been living for two years. I started working
as a Deputy Director in Santo Domingo and, since August 2018, I was promoted to Director in the
Santiago Headquarters.
Beginnings are not easy, that’s why I, not always earned my living with football and I had
many different works until I could work full time in my vocation. Although it does not appear in my
CV, I also worked as a laboratory assistant in an alfalfa dehydration plant (NAFOSA), as a guard in
the entrance door of a school or as a scholar dining room staff, etc… At that point, you could imagine
that I am a versatile and a proactive person, so I am prepared to do whatever is needed for the good of
the Academy. I will do.
I believe in hard work, constancy and discipline and I know the value of efforts and good
results. I am a methodical and perfectionist person, and a great defender of the approach of football as
a team game, not individual, and dynamic, where the most important thing is knowing how to react in
each situation and using properly the intelligence. This point would not be possible without the con-
tinuous formation, because of that, I have not stopped learning and growing up. I am aware of the
strong interest of the Asian continent on the development of a top-of-the-line soccer, the desire of
growing up as one of the global powerful soccer styles and competing against the best teams in the
world, sketching a profile with what I identify myself. Definitely, I wish to be part of this realisable
dream.
Best regards,
Nicolás Garrancho.
