NATURE OF WORK

WELDING:

 Inspection of received materials and getting approval from clients

 Verification of materials with respect to traceability requirement & Maintain
document control.

 Reviewing the approved quality plans, manuals and scope of work to perform the
required inspection

 Fit up, root visual, final visual inspection of welds & Repair of welds as per
approved welding procedures and codes of practice.

 To check welding parameters and verify compliance with approved welding

procedure specifications (WPS).

 Close monitoring of all activities before, during & after welding.

 Stage wise inspection during welding (inter pass temperature, holding and baking
ovens etc).

 Preparation and maintaining various QA/QC documents and final test packages.

 Daily & weekly review meeting regarding the status of the job and the quality
lagging to be required immediate attention and rectification.

 Experience in conducting welder qualification tests as per ASME Sec IX, Client
requirement and Preparation of welder ID cards.

 Conduct Procedure qualification test’s & prepare the documentation in accordance

with company procedures and international codes of practice.

 Experience with various welding processes including Auto GMAW, Auto GTAW,
SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW etc.

 Coordinating with client/consultants while the inspection is being carried out and
offer any clarification is required

 Conduct repair procedure tests and qualify the welders for that.

 Review of WPS, PQR, WPQ and Inspection Test Plan as per specifications & codes.

& Tube tests).

 Shutdown inspection of heat exchangers, columns, pressure vessels.

COATING:

 Verify mill test certificates of material

 Verification of technical data sheets of coating compliance with the specification

 Verification of calibration certificates for all inspection tool and gauges.

 Assess the condition of a substrate.

 Check the blasting pressure at nozzle by using Hypodermic needle gauge.

 Witness and monitor Surface preparation.

 Maintain the documentation of atmospheric conditions.

 Check profile height by using Replica tape and calibrated micrometer.

 Monitoring of coating applications.

 Check wet and dry film thickness and various standard adhesion tests.

 Supervising the coating repair activities.

 Preparation of final documentation of daily and weekly reports
