Two Counselor Trainings Offered – March 8-10, 2019 (weekend) and June 1, 2019 (10 am – 4 pm)
Only need to attend one training

Hendry County 4-H is looking for youth ages 14-18, as of September 1, 2018, who enjoys the outdoors
and overnight camping, has responsibility, as well as possesses leadership qualities to serve as a cabin
counselor. 4H Counselors play a very important role at camp. Hendry County 4-H will pay $165
toward the camp fee as well as the counselor training fee. Each counselor will need to pay the
remainder $75 to offset some of the cost. We have upcoming fundraisers; therefore, contact the 4H
office if you cannot pay the $75.

Senior 4-H’ers interested in serving as a camp counselor must be available to attend the Counselor
Training. Two counselor trainings will be offered at Camp Cloverleaf on March 8-10, 2019 (Time to
Announced) and June 1, 2019 (10 am – 4 pm), must attend one. Please contact the 4H Office if
interested in the March training. There are a limited number of counselors needed. Counselors will
be selected by a screening process. Hendry County will be camping with the following counties:
Glades, Indian River, Okeechobee counties and the Seminole Tribe. So be sure to get your paper work
in on time.
