A link is provided on the ANSI/HI Subscription Service site to download this free plug-in.

Three methods of authentication have been provided by Hydraulic Institute. Your company may

• Clicking on the link will take you to the Subscriptions Home Page with the list of
Standards in your subscription.
• No login is required and there is no logout.
• When finished with your session, close all documents and close the Subscription site to
clear the seat you are occupying and allow another user access.
2. IP Address
• Go to: http://subscriptions.pumps.org
• The Subscriptions Home Page will open after it matches the IP address on your computer
to the list of IP Addresses for your company in the Subscriptions database.
• Your Subscription Administrator is responsible for entering the authorized IP addresses
for your company.
• No login is required and there is no logout.
• When finished with your session, close all documents and close the Subscription site to
clear the seat you are occupying and allow another user access.

Configuring Adobe Acrobat Reader

Optimal access to the Standards documents is gained by configuring your copy of Acrobat to
launch the document in Acrobat instead of the browser window when a request is made for a pdf
file. To set Adobe to open:
• Open Acrobat
• Choose Edit
• Choose Preferences
• Choose Internet
• Deselect Display PDF in browser

Using the Search Function on the Subscriptions Home Page

The Search function is designed to return a list of Standards from your subscription which
contain a word(s) or phrase that you enter in the Search box. The results will be in order of
relevance to the search query.
Opening one of the documents will allow you to use the full Adobe search capabililties for the
open document.

Idle Time Out

If your company has enabled Idle Time Out, your seat will be closed after the company-chosen
period of idle time has elapsed since the last time you took any action in a document.

Access Denied - No Available Seats

Contact your Subscription Administrator if you receive an error message that there are no available
seats. He/she will be able to check idle time for any seats to determine whether a seat can be
cleared.
