Q.1. Sketch a simple hand mixer with parts. Develop a function structure for the same.

Q.3. Identify the reliabilities of A, B and the overall system for the following combination of
components, In B, minimum 3 components need to work for the subsystem to work. [4]

Q.4. Design a potable water bottle life cycle with the help of life cycle design [5]

Q.5. List any five daily used products and select one critical component in each of those.
Analyze how DFM guidelines can influence the manufacturing of the selected critical
components of those products. Use five different DFM guidelines [5]

Q.6. A firm sells two products. Product G sells for INR20; its variable cost is INR6. Product K
sells for INR50; its variable cost is INR30. Product G accounts for 65 percent of the firm's
sales, while K accounts for 35 percent. The firm's fixed costs are INR300000 annually.
Calculate the firm's break-even point (in quantities and in INR). [5]
