J.P. Students
R-1 teachers can shorten their day as they see fit. They can also control which activities they do by
choosing activities from the shaded section at the times available. This is better pre-planned.

Moving to next station

A whistle will sound to move to next station.

Supervision
Students are given points for participation and this will hopefully encourage them to participate. However
it is possible that some people will need to be removed. To keep numbers to a minimum all teaching staff
have a group. "Buddy class" will therefore be to go forward a group.
i.e. someone in 4/5 who plays up goes to R/1 class in front of them.

They can stay in buddy class for next complete event then return. i.e. if they go through event 6, then they
return at the end of event 7.

If they refuse buddy class then - "If you do not choose to go to the buddy group in the next 2 minutes, I need
to phone Ms Pinnock and you will be sent home." - Deliver and go. It would be good if we all had our phones
to save any issues.

We will have a team meeting around 6/7/8 to practice War Cry’s and elect captains

Captain's role.
CAPTAIN'S INFORMATION
Sport's days are about people having fun and getting along. Captain's need to model this and
help support students who are finding it challenging.

Captains need to remember that they are there to promote their team - not denigrate other
teams. They need to behave in a positive way and ensure the team does the same.

Captains and vice captains are responsible for helping teachers organise competitors for
sprints. This should be done prior to sport's day and is negotiated with house teachers.

Captains need to lead the team's war-cry and encourage all team members to get involved in
the spirit of the day.

Captains need to collect any trophies the team may win. They need to have a short acceptance
speech ready - just in case they win. The speech should congratulate and thank their team,
thank the other captains and teams for competing, thank everybody else for their involvement.
