Revermann, Susan. “How Does Littering Affect the Environment?” What Students Learn
https://education.seattlepi.com/littering-affect-environment-6802.html
In this article, Susan Revermann informs the different ways how littering can affect the
environment by sorting them out into different sections. Revermann gives many resources of
how drastic littering can be even if it was intentional or unintentional. In each information, she
provides detailed information about how each littering can impact the world and around us. The
article is about the different ways of littering influence the environment by informing what the
outcome would be to litter. She divided her resources into four different categories; Marine
Litter, Land Litter, Contaminated groundwater, and Monetary Cost, giving a helpful explanation
of why littering is a negative thing. This article provides primary sources because it gives me
more than enough information to get informed. It also gives me several big ideas of what I want
Laverty, Amanda. “8 Ways to Keep the Earth Clean.” Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, 2018,
https://response.restoration.noaa.gov/about/media/8-ways-keep-earth-clean.html
In this article, Amanda Laverty informed the different ways people can keep the
environment and the earth clean by sorting them into eight components. Lavery gives resources
of how different ideas can change the environment even if the idea is not solving the whole earth
problem. She lists different ways to help the environment and explains it in brief sentences to

organize the layout. She shows practical things people can do in their daily lives to decrease the
community from getting polluted. She starts with how the earth gets damaged and polluted and
inform us about how much ocean gets polluted. Then, she lists the things people can do on daily
basis to not make caring for the earth not as hard. This article gives me ideas that could be
obtained easily and gives me more knowledge about my capstone project. I can see that small
Berry, Michael. “Environmental Management: Cleaning and the Environment - Article.” CIRI, 8
In this article, Berry shows the benefits of the environment and awareness of them
throughout by giving various information about the cleaning and mindset of people about such
topics. She separates the article into two different topics; cleaning the environment and the
thoroughly by creating different sections within the section that was already made. This article is
about how the environment and cleaning the environment is important. He informs how much
the environment is important to us to connect with our needs and scarcity. To get his message
across he uses different information that supports the section before. Then he explains the
importance of cleaning and the purpose of it and how to clean the environment the right way.
This article will provide me with great help because not only it gives information about the topic,
it also gives me the right ways to clean the environment. I can use this information to think of

In this article, the group of people shares ideas about a project experiment about littering
on school campuses and how the watching eye can decrease the rate of littering by acting more
sensitive about it. These authors give an experimental report of their ideas and how the idea
turned out to be. They sectioned the article into scientific steps including graphs, data analysis,
and data recording. They did two different experiments to be sure of their hypothesis and the
factual response they found. This article is about the psychology researchers making experiments
on different occasions on campus to see if the watching eye would reduce littering and becoming
sensitive. Their experiments were compared and contrasted to confirm the exact solution and
discusssed the outcome. This enhances my project because this shows me that peer pressure and
group work is more powerful than single. This gives me the idea that I should gather people and

behavior across a school social network. American Journal of Community Psychology, 53(3-4),

http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s10464-013-9613-3
In this article, a group of psychologist finds out what is causing students to litter and how
an individual’s beliefs and behaviors are shaped by peers and people around them. They
investigate the change in behavior across social networks by recycling interventions in different
high schools. The authors' mixed method design combined the focus groups and social network
analysis that measures different networks and behaviors. This article shows how the people all
around you can change behavior and how parent’s encouragement for recycling behavior is
crucial. Littering is one of the behaviors of social networks and the research show how they are

clustered into one. They inform how the people that spend time with can condition to thinking in
different ways. This article is valuable because it shows how peer pressure can lead to behaviors
and through this we can use social networking. Since social networking is very influential I can
use this idea as making the group and positively influencing others to join as well.
