INVENTORY MANAGEMENT PROCESS

Inventory management is the supervision of inventory and stock items. It oversees the flow of goods
from manufacturers or clients to warehouses and from these facilities to point of sale. The function of
inventory management is to keep a detailed record of each new or returned product as it enters or
leaves a warehouse or point of sale. The main service that CAMELTow have offered is truck services but
they also offer warehousing for those who need it, small or large businesses. This study will show how
CAMELTow and KBLogistics maximize and process their inventory management.

CAMELTow give two examples of their inventory management process.

FIRST INVENTORY MANAGEMENT PROCESS

1.1 Clients render the services from the CamelTow for their business to transport their products from
one point to another or until the customers receive the items.

1.2 Once the client scheduled the picking date, the large truck for cargos will pick-up the products and
deliver it to the Manila Port.

1.3 The products will arrive on Manila Port and by there the bureau of customs check it for safety
purposes.

1.4 Once the customs checked the products, they will pick it up via truck and deliver it to their
warehouse.

1.5 In warehouse, the inventory and quality check will be performed to ensure that all products are in
good condition and ready to deliver to the customers.

1.6 The division of distributing products are more on small trucks and grabs while there are only one for
large truck. (Large trucks are hard to maintain because they only have a specific time to pass through the
hi-way road like C-5 road).

1.7 The delivery trucks have a GPS and other kind of trackers for Operation Manager monitor their
movement.
1.8 Until the customer received the products.

SECOND INVEMTORY MANAGEMENT PROCESS WITH AIR FREIGHT

2.1 Clients render the services from the CamelTow for their business to transport their products from
one point to another or until the customers receive the items.

2.2 Once the client scheduled the picking date, the large truck for cargos will pick-up the products and
transport it to their warehouse.

2.3 In warehouse, the inventory and quality check will be performed to ensure that all products are in
good condition and ready to deliver.

2.4 The delivery truck will transport the product to the airport. (CAMELTow claims the partnership with
Cebu Pacific for their air freight)

2.5 Once the airlines checked the safety and quality of the products, they will transport the products
from one point to another.

2.4 Once it arrived to the port, there are trucks to come and get the products. (CAMELTow claims the
partnership with other logistics companies in provinces)

2.5 The truck will deliver the products until the customers received it.
