that represents what you stand for and attracts the right students.

Of course, you don’t have to do everything suggested in the checklist. The best
advice I can give you if you’re starting from scratch and preparing to launch your
online language teaching business is to focus on the most important tasks first,
and then dedicate time to the other tasks on the checklist as you see fit.

start your website + buy your domain name (i use bluehost)

buy your custom email address

find an email marketing service that works for you (i use convertkit)

add a waiting list email opt-in on your website (i use leadpages)

secure the same social media usernames across platforms

write 6-10 blog posts in draft to raise your authority in your subject

decide your pricing structure + speak with an accountant

create a contract + procedure for new students

create a brand guide (or hire a designer) for style, colours + fonts

begin to create a bank of teaching resources on google drive

write a draft of your learn with me pack

write an irresistible about page for your website

consider professional photos to match your brand guide

create an advertising + promotion strategy

find 3 blogs to guest post on to promote your new brand

find 3 podcasts to speak on to promote your new brand

check (+ edit if necessary) the blog drafts you wrote

create images for your blog posts

register as a business for tax in your country

test resources you will use in lessons (skype, google drive etc)

find a social media scheduler that works for you (i use edgar)

join any relevant facebook groups

join any relevant pinterest group boards and begin pinning to them

start scheduling regular social media posts

reach out to people you admire for possible collaborations

confirm changes with any existing students

consider other ways to extend your brand (eg online courses)

begin blogging regularly on your website
