ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JULY

“Sagayan Festival and Nutrion Month"

The province of Lanao del Norte celebrates its 59thAraw ng Lanao held on Mindanao
Civic Center Grandstand last July 3,2018.The said events held somevarious competition
like the Sagayan Festival and the 2nd Drum and Lyre Bugle Corps competition.
“Sagayan” has been considered then as the provincial cultural dance which describes the
exploits, unexplainable powers and remarkable character of Datu Bantugan, the epic hero
of “Darangen”. Seven National High Schools from different municipalities of Lanao del
Norte competed for Sagayan Festival. Magsaysay National High School bagged the first
place, Lala National High School got the second place, and third place went to Maigo
National High School.
In the same day,the 2ndDrum and LyreBugle Corps also held where a lot of school were
participated. Each schools did a spectacular performance. On primary category, the third
place went to Tubod Central Elementary School, the second place went to Maranding
Central Elementary School, and the first place goes to Pigcarangan Elementary School.
On secondary category, Geronima Cabrera National High School got the first place,
second place goes to Lala National High School.Also, many people from other places are
there to celebrate and joined the said festival.The celebration of Araw ng Lanao every
year is always been enchanting and glamorous as it is. It ended up with a beautiful
fireworks at night.
Meanwhile, the Lala National High School never stops improving because after the
disaster of typhoon Vinta the Department of Education helps the school by building two 4
storey’s building and also all the one storey rooms will going to be a two storey building.
The drainage of school is now on going, this is to avoid the flooding of water from canals
to the campus. There are also laboratories that are going to be done soon. It is to be able
to give efficient and high quality of education to all the students.
On the other hand, we all know that the month of July is also nutrition month. Lala
National High School celebrates nutrition month last July 27, 2018 with the theme
“Ugaliing Magtanim Sapat Na Nutrisyon Aanihin”. All students are actively participate
on various competitions, like the food display where all sections are required to bring
go,grow, and glow foods and display it in their respected rooms. Other competitions are
poster making, slogan contest, cooking contest, and nutri-jingle. The said activity are
done to are and teach the students about healthy lifestyle and good nutrition.
