I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and other text types serve as
means of preserving unchanging values in a changing world; also how to use the features of a full-length
play, tense consistency, modals, active and passive constructions plus direct and indirect speech to enable
him/her competently performs in a full-length play.
B. Performance Standards The learner competently performs in a full-length play through applying effective verbal and non-verbal
strategies and ICT resources based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery and Dramatic
Conventions.

Objectives
1. Differentiate active voice from passive voice. (Knowledge)
2. Change active voice to passive voice. (Understanding)
3. Be able to share their thoughts on the use of active and passive voice in expressing their ideas. (Feeling)
4. Construct sentences active and passive voice based on the given pictures. (Doing)
II. CONTENT ACTIVE AND PASSIVE VOICE
Using the previously given sentences as the springboard to introduce the new lesson, ask the students the
following questions as the basis for the discussion.

the new lesson clip on how to vote in the Philippines so that they can inform their parents and relatives on the do’s and

Present the lesson by highlighting the following sentences used in the video clip.

4. VCM screen will flash the names of the candidates you voted for.
5. The poll clerk will fold and cut your receipt.
Process the given sentences by asking the students the questions asked in the previous discussion.
