I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and other text types serve as
means of preserving unchanging values in a changing world; also how to use the features of a full-length
play, tense consistency, modals, active and passive constructions plus direct and indirect speech to enable
him/her competently performs in a full-length play.
B. Performance Standards The learner competently performs in a full-length play through applying effective verbal and non-verbal
strategies and ICT resources based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery and Dramatic
Conventions.

IV. PROCEDURES

A. Reviewing previous lesson or


presenting the new lesson Review students’ knowledge on active and passive voice by performing the “Let Me Hear Your Voice”
activity. (A microphone will be passed to the class while the contest piece in their Zumba Dance
culminating activity in MAPEH is playing.)

1. Mrs. Carmen Macatugob observes the class.


2. The students are reprimanded by Mrs. Septimo.
3. Lady G confiscated the ID of the students.
4. The new DepEd building was occupied by Grade and 7 and Grade 9 students.
5. The Fourth Periodic Test will be taken by the students on March 21-22.
6. The teachers will attend the Completion Rites at Pacific Mall.

B. Establishing a purpose for the
lesson Establish the purpose of the lesson by facilitating the “Mr. and Ms. Q&A” activity.

Using the previously given sentences as the springboard to introduce the new lesson, ask the students the
following questions as the basis for the discussion.

1. Who is the doer of the action?


2. Who becomes the receiver of the action?
3. What is the verb used in the sentence?
4. What is the tense of the given verb?
5. What word helped you identify the tense of the verb used?

C. Presenting examples/instances of 2019 Senatorial Elections is set on May 13. Although the students are not yet voters, let them watch a video
the new lesson clip on how to vote in the Philippines so that they can inform their parents and relatives on the do’s and

Present the lesson by highlighting the following sentences used in the video clip.
1. The BEI chairman announces your name twice.
2. Using your phone in any manner inside the precinct is prohibited.
3. For Persons with Disabilities, Senior Citizens and Illiterate voters, headphones will be provided.
4. VCM screen will flash the names of the candidates you voted for.
5. The poll clerk will fold and cut your receipt.

Process the given sentences by asking the students the questions asked in the previous discussion.

to passive and vice versa. Motivate them by saying that the points that they will obtain will be added to their
