1. Geography
Pakistan is a country located in Southern Asia. The capital of Pakistan is Islamabad. Pakistan
borders India, Afghanistan, Iran, and China. Pakistan has an area of 340,000 square miles when
comparing it to the United States it is about a twelfth the country. The Arabian Sea is one of the
major bodies of water located off of the most southern part of Pakistan. Pakistan has five out of
fourteen of the tallest mountains. It also has the famous Himalayas mountain range. The
temperature ranges from 2°C in January to 40° C in June.
2. Politics
In Pakistan, the official head of state is Arif Alvi. Arif Alvi was a dentist before elected into
office as the president of Pakistan. He was elected on September 9th, 2018. Pakistan's
government is a Republic, a Republic is when the majority of voters elect their power or
representative. A historical event that shaped the current political climate was in 1947 Pakistan
joined the United Nations and became an official member. The current political climate in this
country is not balanced because internal conflict and large scale violence. It is considered the 5th

The form of currency in Pakistan is Rupee. The currency rate from one US dollar to Rupee is
139 Rupees. The economy is currently unstable because of a terrorist attack and sectarians. The
major imports and exports are rice, cotton, livestock, surgery instruments, and tiles. The major
natural resources in this country are salt, gypsum, limestone, silver, and gold. The natural

In Pakistan, there is a population of 203,446,570, with 95-98% of the population believing in the
religion Islam. The official language for the country is called Urdu. The way you greet in this
language “As-Salam-u-Alaikum", which means "Peace be unto you". The mortality rate in
Pakistan is currently 75 per 1,000 live births, this is higher than the world’s average of 8 per
