Hi Sankar

You can look in menu of production order Go to->

documented goods movement. then you can look all
consumed goods along with quantities either planned or
unplanned.

or

Use COOIS report by selecting documented goods

movement in selection screen list field.

Hi Sankar,

What do you mean by consumption qty? I know

Consumption and reduction of PIRs. If you mean how
production order will be reduced from MD04 screen, the
answer is after GR to the order.

Refer below document for consumption and reduction.

http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/manufacturing-
pp/blog/2014/01/01/concept-on-consumption-and-
reduction
(http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/manufacturing-
pp/blog/2014/01/01/concept-on-consumption-and-
reduction)

If you want to check the components in a order go to

CAUFV table. Or go to COOIS report and check for
"component" in list. Or directly in order Goto-> List->
Document goods movement. Check for 261 movement.

Regards,

Krishnendu.

Hi Sankar,

I assume you want to calculate total consumption of

materials/components in a production order.

Open COOIS transaction. Choose "Component" for List.

Enter your production order numbers and execute. You
can get the total consumption by summarizing the
"Quantity withdrawn" column.

You can also choose "Documented Goods Movement"

for List and then summarizing the quantity for movement
type 261.

Julian

Hi,

Thanks for answering.

But according to me Quantity Withdrawn is Quantity Issued.

Consumption Quantity is what you have consumed from the issued Quantity

Hi Sankar,
https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3489601 5/10
12/6/2017 Consumption in Production Order

Usually, movement type 261 (goods issue to order) is

meant for consumption of materials for that production
order. If you haven't consumed the materials, you may
not post the goods issue with movement type 261. You
may only use other movement types, such as material
staging to production area which is usually using
movement type 311.

Therefore, you can track the consumption by monitoring

goods movement 261.

Hello Sankar,

How do you track the quantity withdrawn in your system?

Do you transfer it to intermediate storage location from the main storage location
& then issue to your production order?

If it's so then the quantity transferred to the intermediate storage location can be
considered as quantity withdrawn. Quantity issued to order with movement type
261 is the quantity consumed. Please do note that there is a concept of GI only in
SAP & not quantity withdrawn.

Also you have said that the documented goods movement does not show
anything on order. This is possible if there is no goods movement happened on
the order so far.

If the goods movement happened & still it's not showing then the documents
haven't been registered on the order. The reason behind this is the check boxes
haven't been marked in T Ccode OPL8 for your plant & order type combination
(in 'Implementation' tab page. In that case the order as well as COOIS both won't
show any list of the documents. You need to mark those check boxes as shown to
have documents on your order.

Hi Sankar,

I think your have to check in COOIS report .

In this T.code , In List there is two list.

1. Doucmented goods movements

2. Automatic goods movements.

In that you check both GR (101 movment) & GI (261)material and also by product
and co-product .

Thanks & Regards,

Anurudh

Hi Sankar,

If you issue a material against a order separately or do

it at the time of confirmation its same. You withdraw a
qty against an order. Then system assumes that these
are consumed for the order(it may be more or less w.r.t
BOM qty. The qty difference will go in variant
calculation).

Now if you withdraw a material what is the reference? It

might be an order.

So issue to the order is equal to the consumed qty. You

can not issue 10 by 261 movement and consume 8 in
an order. If physically it is possible also, in system it is
impossible.

Hope this clarifies.

Krishnendu.

Hi Sankar,

Materials what ever issued against the order with

Movement Type 261 are nothing but consumption
against the order. You can get the planned, consumed

12/6/2017 Consumption in Production Order

and difference qty details in COOIS-Components list

against the order.
