1. SCOPE

This procedure covers the details of Pressure testing and documentation to follow the
requirement of ASME Sec VIII. This procedure describes the method to be followed
for performing Pressure test for Piping OTH Manufactured by PT.TRIMITRA WISESA
ABADI (INTEC) for PT. ENERGI SEJAHTERA MAS.

This procedure to be applied to following item :

3. PREPARATION FOR TESTING

3.1 Painting shall not be performed before test (unless otherwise as noted)

3.2 All agreed NDT shall be cleared prior to Pressure test

3.3 The inside and outside of pressure piping shall be free from all dirt, debris, weld slag,
and spatter, oil, rust, scale, paint and all other foreign matter.

3.4 All temporary fitting & blind flanges shall be suitable for the test procedure and should
not have defect that may cause failure during Pressure test.

3.5 Vent to be provided at all high points of the Shell piping system

3.6 The Pressure Test medium use Thermal oil.

4. SAFETY

4.1 Safety shall be strictly observed all time during Pressure test. The area shall be
cordoned off with signed board or barriers, only authorized personel are allowed in
the test area.

4.2 Protection shall be applied as necessary to electric motors, juntion boxes and
instruments in the vicinity of release.

4.3 Vent are to be kept close to prevent air leaking during commencement of pressurizing
5. GAUGES AND RECORD

5.1 The range of pressure gauges will be preferably twice that of the test pressure but in
no case shall the range be less than 1 ½ nor more than 4 times that of the test
pressure. The range of pressure gauge and pressure chart shall be same.

5.2 Pressure gauges shall be used to record the test pressure, duration of testing and all
relevant details.

5.3 Calibration, All pressure gauge shall be currently calibrated using deadweight tester.
Any gauges showing incorrect zero or error more than + 0.5% of full scales range
shall not used without repair and recalibration.

6. TESTING

6.1 The QC Inspector shall liaise with Client Inspector to witness the test.

6.2 The pressure shall be gradually increased to the value of specified test pressure. The
pressure should be increased in stages from design pressure 10 bar until the test
pressure 1.3 time from design pressure 13 bar (Customer requirement ) reached
or test pressure.

6.3 The test pressure shall be ratained for at least 30 (thirtieth) minutes as per Indonesia
government Regulation.

6.4 Qc Inspector should check all the welds and connections for any leak age, sweating,
etc.

6.5 QC Inspector shall record pressure, time and temperature during the test at least 15
minute intervals.

6.6 After all parties are satisfied, the pressure shall gradually be decreased.

6.7 Testing shall carried put using as specified gaskets and bolting with no special
treatment. Any such items damaged during testing shall be replaced. All gaskets shall
be replaced upon satisfactory completion of the test.

7. DEFECTS AND REPAIRS

Any leak or defects seen as a result of Pressure test are to be repaired, subjected to
specified NDT and re-Pressure test.

8. DRAINING / DRYING

8.1 After the Pressure test, the pressure shall be released in a manner and at rate so as
not to endanger personel or damage equipment.

8.2 All vents shall be opened before the system is released and shall remain open during
draining to prevent pulling a vacuum on the system.

9. DOCUMENTATION

The manual Pressure test record shall be signed by QC Inspector, Client

Representative, and Authorized Inspector and become a part of the Manufacture
Data Report ( MDR )
