Use wall anchors capable of supporting at least 80 pounds (60
relay unit). If flush mounting, secure the enclosure between the wall
studs. Be sure to allow for the thickness of the drywall and 7/8” for
the overhang of the cover so that the cover will mount flush on the
finished wall and away from adjacent panels.

2) Install Interior and Wire Flange Nut s

Install the interior as shown using the 10-32 flange nuts provided. Refer
to the figure to perform the following steps.

A) Connect Power Supply and Test

The unit can be powered by either 120 or 277 VAC. It is factory wired for
120 VAC. To power from 277V, disconnect the 120V transformer primary Communications
lead (black) from the fuseholder and connect the 277V transformer primary Te rminal
lead (brown) in its place. Keep the unused lead (120V or 277V) insulated Bloc k Po wer-on
from all other leads and the enclosure. When power is applied the power-on LED
LED should light after a few moments and remain lit. The “Over” button
may be used to toggle the relays On/Off. The “Auto” button will restore the
relays to their pre-override state.

B) Connect High Voltage Branch Circuits Bloc k
Connect branch circuits to the relay terminal blocks according to your OVER AU TO ST AT Suppl y
wiring layout. Do not exceed 20 amperes per circuit. In cases where dual Connections
high voltages are required, they may be isolated using the left and right
high voltage compartments. Record the load-to-relay assignments on the Override
card provided. Pushb uttons

C) Connect Low Voltage Inputs

Connect one lead from each input to any one of the ‘G” terminals. Connect
the other lead to an input terminal (1-24) according to your wiring layout.
Three wire switches require two input terminals. Do not apply AC voltage Low Vo ltage
to any of these terminals. Record the switch-to-input assignments on the Inputs
card provided.

D) Connect Network Inputs

Connect network wiring to the communications terminal block according
to the “+” and “-” indications. When a shield wire is used it may be 120V Tr ansf ormer
connected to the ‘S’ terminal. Flange Nut s Pr imary Connected

3) Mount Cover
Loosen the cover screws enough to allow the cover mounting tear drops to
slide over and behind the screw heads. Make sure the cover is centered so
that the inside edges do not interfere with the relay manual override levers.
This may be viewed through the open door.

Relay Replacement
To add or replace a relay, first remove the front cover. The CPU is easily
tilted away to expose the lower relays by loosening the two thumbscrews.
To remove a relay, loosen the screw in the center of the relay’s terminal
block. Gently pull the relay out in the same direction as the screw. When
installing the new relay, be certain that the relay coil pins align with and
plug into the coil connector. Replace the relay terminal block screw.
Replace the front cover.
