This week is like a montage of everything from the first week, it seems like I have
found my passion in this place, I anchored my heart, and rested my peace of mind. We
haven’t done much this week because there were no physicians on duty that is why we
only admitted patients who are for monthly drug collection and for dental services –
which makes it more emotional because we are given enough time to talk to each other
and to realize how we come to end this work immersion.
We only really did a few in this work immersion week but it seems to be the most
unforgettable of them all because it seems like we are habitualized of the awra of the
place. And today my biggest insight is that no matter how hard life and work may
become we must come to thank and certify our efforts by resting and giving gratitude to
those who come to help you along the way.
This week I have realized that I will be always be grateful to the school especially
to our teachers and all who forms this institution. And in did I will miss everything about
this school and especially to your rants and criticisms sir Mel, I may hate you most of the
times because you make things so extra - from exams to projects and even our
conversation but I always am thankful of your efforts of making the best species in the
entire universe. I will forever remember all the things you have taught me from grade ten
(10) up to this day, in deed they are all very helpful to me now, particularly that I am now
entering college.
This work immersion let me meet the person who will serve as the measles and
rubella vaccine to my future endeavours, the person who will revive me from
unconsciousness, and the person who will always root for me all the time and always
expects a great output from me. And that is you sir, together with the whole institution,
Thank You, Maraming Salamat, Agyamannak.
But on the other way around I like the strictness of the RHU in administering
vaccines because they need our parental consents before having a vaccine even
though we are now considered to do legal decisions of our own. This was done to
ensure our safety and fro the RHU’s responsibility if something will go wrong.
B. Challenges encountered
We really haven’t encountered any problem this week except for binging home sick
patients who came all the way from far places since the doctor is not present. We also
had edematic patient who complains of severe pain.
Moreover, I have experience a patient complaining of severe pain I don’t know what
to do administer since I have no enough knowledge and skill so I let him sit immediately
and ask for help in an instant from a nurse present in the unit.
