1. Title: “Customized Coin Bank”

Objective of the Activity: To be able to design the coin bank that will develop the creativity of
patients and provide a sense of autonomy.

Materials:

 Empty “piknik” container

 Strings/ ribbon
 buttons
 Construction paper
 Glue

Procedure:

1. Choose a plain or printed paper to cover the empty wood cylinder.

2. Cover the empty with the chosen paper using glue.
3. Design it with variety of buttons and ribbons/ strings using glue.

2. Title: “Denim Shoe Cellphone Holder”

Objective of the Activity: To be able to make a cellphone holder made from old jeans cloth that
will develop or improve patients’ ability to follow a pattern.

Materials:

 Old jeans (cut-out)

 Shoelace
 Poster color
 Paint brush

Procedure:

1. Paint the bottom and flaps of the cut-out jeans cloth with any figure or color.
2. Let it dry for at least 5 minutes.
3. Fold the bottom part upward then fold the flaps inward.
4. Firmly press the folded parts.
5. Insert the shoelace and tie it.

3. Title: “DIY Dangling Bookmark”

Objective/s of the Activity: To be able to customize a bookmark of choice that will provide
patients a sense of autonomy and develop their matching skills.

Materials:

 Ribbon
 Paper clip
 Connected or matching pictures made of chipboard (parachute and clouds, bunny and
easter egg, shirt and shorts etc.)
 Glue
 Scotch tape

Procedure:

1. Select matching or connected pictures made of chipboard (2 pieces per figure)

2. Attach the upper portion of the paper clip to the figure using a scotch tape.
3. Stick the figure with paper clip together with another piece of same figure.
4. Do the same with the second figure but ribbon will be attached instead of a paper clip.
5. Tie the ribbon at the bottom part of the paper clip.

4. Title: “Paper Pen holder”

Objective/s of the Activity: To be able to make a DIY pen holder by connecting the folded
construction papers altogether that will help in improving the hand- eye coordination of patients.

Materials:

 Construction Paper (folded)

 Strips of paper
 Glue
 Chipboard (base)

Procedure:
1. Connect the folded construction paper by inserting it in the holes of each other.
2. After connecting 24 folded construction papers, paste the first part with the last part using
a glue making it a round shape.
3. Do this until three layers will be created.
4. Put a tape inside to connect the three layers.
5. Glue half of each paper strip to the bottom part of the pen holder.
6. Attach the round- shaped chip board as base by pasting the other half of paper strip on it.

RECREATIONAL THERAPY
GROUP B4

1. Title: “Dish Gardening”

Objective/s of the Activity: To be able to make a dish garden that will allow patients to
a. Come in contact with nature
b. Develop creativity
c. Stimulate imagination
d. Improve use of leisure time
e. Discover new abilities.
f. Provide sense of accomplishment or self- esteem

Materials:

 Small basin
 Soil
 Artificial plants
 Popsicle sticks
 Pebbles
 Plastic gloves

Mechanics: Let patients visualize their preferred design or type of dish garden.

2. Title: “Cookie Face”

Objective/s of the Activity: To be able to relieve stress of patients at some time.

Materials:

 Cookies

Mechanics: Place a cookie on the forehead of patients and the goal is to get the cookie in the
mouth using only facial muscles within 1 minute.

REMOTIVATIONAL THERAPY
GROUP B4

1. Title: “Keeping up with the Kings of the Kings”

Objective/s of the Activity: The patients will be able to

a. regain awareness about their country
b. bond with other patients.

Materials:

 Pictures of Philippine National Symbols

 Bottle for spinning
 Bowl for draw lots

Mechanics:

1. Pieces of paper with pictures of Philippine National Symbols will be placed inside the
bowl
2. Spin the bottle who will be the one to say something about the chosen picture.
3. Ask the patient what he/ she knows about it.
4. Additional inputs will be given by the student nurses.
5. Evaluate it by asking the patients again about what have been said.

2. Title: “Going Back to the Corner”

Objective of the Activity: The patients will be able to:

a. Reminisce memories from the past
b. Share their feelings about a certain topic
c. Improve or develop their communication skills

 Typical hobbies written on a paper

 Bowl for draw lots
 beach ball

Mechanics:

1. Pieces of paper with usual hobbies written on it will be placed
