Subject Contract Agreement for Construction of Boundary Wall

Company Introduction

through about 14-years of growth and diversification, IEC has guarded the traditions of professional
integrity and technical standards.

IEC is practicing in the major field of construction & engineering and related areas in all over the country
and has successfully completed nearly 33 projects belongs to construction, engineering, survey & mapping,
planning & design of highways, roads & bridges, water supply (source development, treatment &
distribution), project management, project risk management, sewerage & storm water drainage, industrial
& housing estates, institutional & commercial buildings and solid waste management.

Objective of the Document


The purpose of this document is to explain the terms & conditions and costing of the contract
for the construction of boundary wall as per provided drawings dated 13 Feb 2018.

Scope
Scope of this document covers follows;
 Agreement including Scope of Work, Timeline, Price & BOQ and Commercial Terms &
Conditions.

Contractor Responsibilities

 It is responsibility of IEC to include all technical and commercial information in their agreement
as per Client’s construction drawings.

Client Responsibilities

 It is responsibility of Client to review this proposal that it is in line with their requirements and
further go-ahead.

Scope of Work
The services include Procurement and Construction of project. IEC shall provide following Services:

 Civil Construction Work of boundary wall as per construction drawings (Material, labor,
Machine and shuttering etc.)
 Special Sulphate Resistant Cement will be used in foundation only.
 All other structures, Ordinary Portland Cement OPC made of Maple Leaf will be used.)
 All utilities including water, electricity crane etc. will be entertained by IEC
 HYSB of Grade 60 will be used all structures
 All materials will be provided by IEC
 Fencing angle iron will be provided by the Client and IEC will only place it in concrete
and will be charged separately.

Exceptions

 Any E&I Material and Work (Lighting, Earthing, Poles, cable trenches etc.)
 Any Mechanical work
 Anchorage
 Relocating/Dismantling of any existing structures/utilities

Price & BOQ


The below mentioned rates and quantities are estimated from provided drawings. Errors and Omissions
are accepted. Any change will be addressed with revised drawings and rates may be revised. Additional
items in work will be entertained with formal approval of rates.

Timeline
 The work will be started in a week after formal agreement of the work and resident
mobilization
 The delivery time will start after formal approval by the client.
 Income tax is not included in the rates mentioned in the BOQ
 Any additional taxes, any new tax will be added in invoice value if applicable.
 Target duration of the work is one month working days.

Commercial Terms & Conditions


 20 % of total job order value as advance at the time of order confirmation.
 Payment shall be based on measurement of executed work duly verified by Engineer in-
Charge after 7 days.
 Advance payment may be deducted in final bill.

Project Change Control Procedure

The following process will be followed if a change to Construction Drawings is required:

 A Project Change Request (PCR) will be the vehicle for communicating change. The PCR must
describe the change, the rationale for the change, and the effect the change will have on the project.
 The designated Project Manager of the requesting party (Contractor or Client) will review the proposed
change and determine whether to submit the request to the other party.
 Both Project Managers will review the proposed change and approve it for further investigation or
reject it. Contractor and Client will mutually agree upon any charges for such investigation, if any. If
the investigation is authorized, the Client Project Managers will sign the PCR, which will constitute
approval for the investigation charges. Contractor will invoice Client for any such charges. The
investigation will determine the effect that the implementation of the PCR will have on price, schedule
and other terms and conditions of the Agreement.
 Upon completion of the investigation, both parties will review the impact of the proposed change and,
if mutually agreed, a Change Authorization will be executed.
 A written Change Authorization and/or PCR must be signed by both parties to authorize
implementation of the investigated changes.
